A Fond Farewell to Sol y Nieve

The Kids are grown, and the Grandkids are growing.

Over the past 4 decades we have been owners and partners in 11 restaurants, including
Sol y Nieve which we opened in 1998.

What a great privilege to serve our wonderful and loyal customers; and to work with all of
the exceptional staff, especially as we have watched them advance, and several grow
into their own partnerships.

Now it’s time to ease the constant back and forth between restaurants. We have closed
Sol y Nieve in Chicago, effective May 7, 2018.

Hillside remains open, and we are eagerly planning our 30th year celebration for July.
We thank you all for your patronage over the years and look forward to continue seeing
you where it all began, Emilio’s Tapas in Hillside.
