These are wonderful events featuring often little known, critically acclaimed and hard to find Spanish Wines, paired with Great Food, Live Spanish Music and Flamenco Dance Show.
Our Fall Game and Wine Dinner will be on Thursday, November 7
Chef Emilio will focus his Five Course Dinner Menu on Fresh Game and the Celebration of the Fall Season.
The wines are perfectly matched to Chef Emilio’s culinary artistry for the evening. They include six wonderful wines from Spain.
All are highly prized, and awarded wines including two wines from Bodegas Aysuso Estola Tempranillo (Reserva 2014 Crianza – 2 years in oak; Grand Reserva 2008 – 5 years in oak). Estola was voted the best Tempranillo winery for 2019 ahead of all producers of Tempranillo.
Also featured is the golden sparkling wine Carmela Muscat of Alexandria from Bodegas Fernando Castro. These are grape vines that originated in Egypt along the banks of the Nile river around the city of Alexandria, and known as the oldest unmodified Vitis Vinifera grape that is still in existence today. This very lush wine has an incredible bouquet of flowers and fresh grapes, with a crisp touch and smooth finish.
We’ll save the other three wonderful wine surprises for you to unwrap and explore in real time. Just know, they are all every bit as remarkable and tantalizing.
Matty Iqbal, founder of Vins & Vignobles Wine Selections will be the guest speaker to enlighten us on these outstanding fine wines he has procured and their vineyards. Matty does not use brokers, instead personally searching out extraordinary, sustainably grown wines, with exceptional terroir (no pesticides, no herbicide, no added sugar, no added sulfites) from family owned wineries often unknown to the US audience.
This is going to be a splendid display of Culinary Expertise and Fine Wines from Spain, along with wonderful Camaraderie.
Reception starts at 6:00 pm and we’ll sit down to Dinner at 6:30 pm.
Live Spanish Music and Flamenco Dance Show will entertain throughout the evening.
